Auspicious

Aswini, Bharani, Punarvasu, Pushya, Hasta, Chitra, Vishaka,
Purvashada and Revati are considered excellent
constellations for entering into competitions and bringing
luck in lotteries. Among the Thidhis (Lunar days),
the second, third, fifth, sixth, eleventh, and thirteenth
are considered good. Avoid Tuesdays and Saturdays.

depends on the strength of the natal horoscope, specifically
that of the house of finance. You can only improve your chances
by electing an auspicious time.
Planetary positions while entering into the competition are
also significant. Chose a time when the Ascendant is in a
benefic sign, Moon is strong and fifth and ninth houses are
positive. Eleventh lord in the twelfth, Mars in the eighth,
Saturn aspecting the second house or the second lord will
give adverse results.
